Help us fight insurance claim fraud.

Between 10 and 25 percent of all claims nationwide involve some type of fraud, and our Special Investigative Unit (SIU) works diligently to fight against it.

Our philosophy is to write legitimate business and settle legitimate claims. You can join us in the fight against insurance claim fraud by reporting suspected cases to SECURA’s Fraud Alert Hotline:
800-868-2869
.

Examples of insurance claim fraud include:

  • Purposely damaging a roof after a storm to submit a false hail damage claim.
  • Reporting higher costs for car repairs than actually paid.
  • Arson for the purpose of capturing payment for goods that could not otherwise be sold.
  • Claiming an injury happened at work when it happened outside the workplace or exaggerating an injury in order to receive benefits.
